Zebre Parma are set to open their 2025/26 campaign in France with a pre-season friendly at Lyon’s Matmut Stadium against LOU Rugby. The squad departed from Stadio Lanfranchi this morning, with kick-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m. tomorrow, Friday 29 August.
The 30-man travelling group does not include Zebre’s internationals, who have been rested, but features several permit players and academy prospects. A key boost for the squad is the long-awaited return of full-back Lorenzo Pani, who is set to make his comeback after more than a year out through injury that sidelined him for the entire previous season.
“This will be our first test after ten weeks of hard work,” said head coach Massimo Brunello. “It’s an opportunity to measure ourselves technically, physically and mentally. Even without the full roster, we want to rise to the challenge.”
