DUBLIN – The Zebre Business Tour was officially launched in Dublin yesterday evening, introducing a new initiative aimed at creating opportunities for business networking and commercial development through rugby, connecting the entrepreneurial community, Italian food excellence and international markets.
Hosted by the Italian Institute of Culture in Dublin as part of the third edition of Italian Sports Day in the World, the event welcomed Nicola Faganello, Ambassador of Italy to Ireland, as guest of honour. Zebre Parma were represented by club president Gianni Fava.
The business community was represented by Egidio Amoretti, ceo of Corte Parma-Amoretti, Zebre’s main shirt sponsor and a Parma-based food company active in the ready-to-eat segment, with an established presence in the out-of-home consumption market, and Alessandro Cagnolati, trade marketing manager at the Consortium for Parmigiano Reggiano dop, a Zebre partner in the incoming tourism project connecting visitors with Parmigiano Reggiano dairies. The Consortium for Mozzarella di Bufala Campana dop also took part in the event.
The evening provided an opportunity to present the project and encourage dialogue between sports organisations, institutions and businesses, with a particular focus on the food sector and horeca operators active in the Irish market. The meeting also helped strengthen commercial relationships with Ireland and create new opportunities for cooperation among the participating organisations.
Reflecting the collaborative spirit between the two clubs, a Leinster Rugby delegation also attended the event on the eve of today’s fixture at the Laya Arena.
During the evening, Zebre captain Giovanni Licata, alongside Parma-born back Damiano Mazza, presented signed Zebre Parma jerseys to Ambassador Faganello and representatives of the Italian Institute of Culture and Italian Trade Agency.
The launch marks the beginning of the Zebre Business Tour, an initiative designed to support the international activities of the club by creating opportunities for networking and developing relationships between rugby, businesses and Italian food excellence.
This afternoon, at 15:30 Italian time, Zebre Parma will return to the Laya Arena to face Leinster Rugby in their second preseason test.
