ZEBRE PARMA: YELLOW-BLUE IS ALSO THE LEITMOTIF IN THE NEW JERSEYS FOR THE EPCR CHALLENGE CUP

09/26/2022

BOLOGNA, Sept. 26, 2022 - Zebre Parma, a club and an unbreakable binomial, the one with the ducal city that since 2012 has been the 'home' of the franchise owned by the Italian Rugby Federation. A bond that is exalted through the playing uniforms that the North West XV has recently unveiled with regard to United Rugby Championship commitments and now reaffirms by unveiling the new match kits for the EPCR Challenge Cup, a competition in which the Italian club will make its debut on the weekend of December 10 at the 'Lanfranchi' against Toulon. Yellow-blue has become the leitmotif of Zebre's jerseys, which thus pay homage to the city of Parma through the colors of its logo.

Jerseys with a strongly green soul and that Macron, the club's technical partner, has made in Eco-Fabric, 100% polyester from recycled plastic. The main fabric used is Eco-Armevo and the inserts are in Eco-Bodytex, materials that, in addition to lightness and breathability, ensure maximum strength. A choice and a commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment shared in full by Zebre Rugby Club.

Zebre's new Challenge Cup jersey

Zebre
The new Cup Game Set consists of the yellow jersey with a V-neck on the edge of which the tricolor is inserted. On the sleeves and sides of the jersey there is, on the front back, in blue, the zebra graphic identifying the soul of Zebre Parma: a pattern designed by Areaitalia, a Parma-based communication and marketing agency that has been the club's partner since its founding year in 2012. On the chest is the Macron Hero on the right, the Italian Rugby Federation logo in the center, and the club's coat of arms on the left.

The club's history and identity are also expressed by the graphic details on the back of the jersey. Printed on the outer back neckline is the phrase LUCA AND LEO ALWAYS WITH US, in memory of Luca Sisti, the Video Analyst who died in a car accident in 2015, and Leonardo Mussini, communications and marketing area manager, who died prematurely in September 2021.  On the lower back of the jersey, in a crescent shape, is inserted the tricolor and lower down the words AUT FACERE SCRIBENDA, AUT SCRIBERE LEGENDA, a Latin motto whose meaning is that Zebre players, engaged on fields all over Europe have the duty and privilege of 'doing things worthy of being written and being told."  The shorts are yellow with a band on the sides that echoes the blue zebra graphic on the jersey and have the tricolor crescent in the back. The yellow socks have Macron Hero on the front, a vertical tricolor band on the calf, and ZEBRE lettering in blue.

The new match kit for the EPCR Challenge Cup, as well as the exclusive line of apparel and merchandise that Macron makes for Zebre Rugby Club, are available in the club's dedicated section on macron.com and in some Macron Sports Hub outlets including the one in Parma at Strada dei Mercati 10 and at the Cittadella del Rugby in Parma at the home matches of the Northwest XV.
